Limited to 250 Prints (Approximately 50 remain)
Williamsburg Capital is one of three paintings Smith did of Colonial Williamsburg. The print was issued in a limited edition of 250 prints.
Smith has often been compared to Monet. He compared art to music. He felt that they are akin, only communication in a different form. He remarked, "The world is looking for this communication. A painting that does not have to be explained, but simply portrays a beautiful feeling to which people can relate is communication.
He was a man with strong ties to family and God. With every painting, he sought to evoke the very reason he chose to paint a particular subject.
Charles Roy's paintings demonstrated his love of history and natural beauty. He painted scenes throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
Charles Roy passed away in September, 2002. There are several original paintings available and many limited edition prints.
